How excited I am to see this film now, after reading the reviews, can only be expressed that my close friends in vulgar terms. Despite the tone Coates has taken to clean up the mythos, if indeed he can, the pisituce exposure BP us getting right now makes me want to cry from joy.
It took me about ten years, until I was around 20, to understand the significance if T'Challa as a character in or out if comics. Now, 24 years later, almost everything I hoped would happen for the character us happening and I an mostly gratified. I am really hoping the impact he has on the psyche of society us as powerful as I hoped it would be once he was pushed by Marvel. I really believe it is not a can of worms Marvel is opening up here, but a bottle of my favorite beer on a hot summer day.
Reality is for those who are afraid of science fiction.
Black Panther solo movie update.
One thing Marvel Studios does incredibly well is keep an eye on what's just around the corner, which is why at a recent Captain America: Civil War press day, Movies.com parent site Fandango asked Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige about how they're approaching those solo Black Panther and Spider-Man movies. Specifically, we wanted to know if they were going to be broader superhero movies or if they were going to try and hone in on specific genres.
"What Ryan Coogler is working on right now in the early days of putting that Black Panther film together is a very sweeping sort of geo-political movie, set within the wonder of Wakanda and the action of the Panther," Feige told us. That's very exciting to hear, particularly the words "the wonder of Wakanda." In the comics Wakanda isn't just the arbitrary homeland of Black Panther, it's a nation unlike any other. It's experienced incredible technological advancements that often outpace the rest of the world and it's great to know Coogler, who is also writing the movie, is embracing what makes Wakanda special

I'm team he looks perfect just like this
I love the helmet
I love the accents and textures
I do prefer when the lighting has the accents shining with the suit lookin darker / blacker, than when everything looks grey. But just an awesome design that i hope starts crossin over to the comics more in the months to come.
I'm hearing from several different sources that Wakanda is indeed seen in the film
