I just want it to do well. With Hollywood turning its attention to Chinese box office performance, I want Black Panther to play over there similar to other Marvel movies (which tend to do ~$100m). I want racist execs in Hollywood to lose all their damn excuses with this movie.

Same here but to be honest I have come to terms with the fact that not everyone will be interested with a material like BP and just hope for the best for the movie. I already see some people saying they won't see it due to the racially charged PR towards the film which might alienate people from other races.

I caught that error as well. Rob Cain is Forbes' international box office specialist, specifically for the Chinese and Indian marketplace. I've been reading his work since a piece on Justice League caught my eye, and while he does often have a pessimistic slant to his writing, I think his experience in the area is worth taking seriously (this doesn't mean he can't be hilariously wrong in this case, though, which I hope he is).

Right i laughed at that, "MBJ? Dude is IN the movie, but he didn't direct it, basic research and common sense would tell you that, sense its been plastered everywhere that Coogler is the director, but you know, Black folks all look alike so its a simple mistake"

Also its a Marvel movie, so chances are people over there will see it based off brand recognition alone, then they will see an action packed spy thriller super hero movie, then they will see crazy tech and mechanical robots show up at some point in the film, plus this is the finally movie before Infinity War and Wakanda and T'Challa are at the forefront of that movie too.. BP doesn't need china to do well as i think it will be well received everywhere else, but i also do not think its going to be a bomb either, I think regardless, it will do fine
