The most upvoted posts are saying that w'kabi's heel turn was awful, the cgi and action scenes were bad and that T'Challa felt bland compared to how he was in civil war, not that the film was too black or something. Lmao

Who knows. Tetu did say that the gods had grown bored with wakanda. The orisha would destroy the adversary so I think the adversary is taking advantage of them not being there.

I think the next issue will end with T'Challa getting "samurai jack'd" but to a parallel universe instead of the future.

So honest opinion do you think the new BP centric Avengers season will have quality animation or be the same quality as the past Avengers seasons?

Has anyone kept up with the cartoon?

Meh, I stopped watching that stupid show after the crocodile necklace episode (which was awesome). I’m hoping that this BP centric season will have writing that’s on par with EMH. The king deserves nothing but the best.

Marvel just can't seem to get real quality animation for their cartoons for some reason. I assumed getting bought by Disney would lead to some improvement in that area, but if anything I think their cartoons declined in quality.

Look at any of those subreddit threads about other movies and they trash them too. Honestly it doesn't matter. Cgi bwas only "weak" in a couple small areas, I know that's a big deal for some, but most people don't care.

W'kabis heel turn made sense. Klaw had been avoiding capture for 30 years, dude pop's up, he want's to go with T'Challa and he tells him no, he comes back without Klaw and he feels it's his father all over again, and later that day a dude shows up of the Royal family with Klaw. Plus it was already established that W'kabi was all for waging war with the world from his earlier conversation in the movie.

This new guy who took Down Klaw was doing what he wanted, it's just starting the end when it came to facing Okoye, how determined she was to protect Wakanda, followed with him seeing his nation and people killing each other, is why he surrendered. Its not like the movie didn't set up the heel turn.

Also it's funny people being up CW because Tchalla had grand total of 15 min of screen time. It's easy to out him in full revenge mode. It's easy to get a lasting impression in a short time (and he was interesting clearly in his movie) then when you have to show more emotion and traits

we can all agree we liked the movie but still not try to be oblivious to the obvious problems brought about by coogler's portrayal of Tchalla in the movie. this isn't just a troll opinion or some racist opinion it's prevalent enough that it should be given some Merit

when I know more about the villains backstory than I do the titular character then that's a problem. And telling me to go read the Prelude comic book to find out more about the Cholla isn't the solution. the villain looks more heroic at the end of the movie than the actual hero. That's a problem. To chalas portrayal in Civil War was much better than what was shown in his own movie that's a problem. All of the things need to be handled better in the future by either a new director who cares about the character more than their friend playing the villain or by coogler if Marvel decides to keep him

Racists don't typically overtly advertise their racism. I'm sure a lot of white supremacist assholes are looking to tear apart BP but they'd never say online that it was a bad movie because it was "too black." They'll find something else to slag it for - usually some minor flaw that they'll try to magnify into a major issue - but the underlying motivation is that they're threatened by it.

I'll go as far as saying that Killmonger looked sympathetic at the end (or at least up to a point), but I think it's a stretch to say he looked more heroic.

He was a nut case that tried to drag his nation into a war it would probably lose, got his but kicked, then chose to allow himself to die rather than see jail time. This doesn't sound all that heroic to me.

-The lines he got to say at the museum criticising them for stealing the artifacts
    -Killed Klaw
-Called out wakanda for not helping black people
-Called out T'Chaka for killing his father
    -"hey auntie"
    -"is this your king?"
    -beats T'Challa's ass
-gets the camera spin when walking into the throne room
    -gets the better theme music
-"all that challenge sh*t is over"
-"a kid from oakland believing in fairytales"
    -"Bury me with my ancestors"
    -"death is better than bondage"

Coogler wanted to make his boy look as good as possible

But see, they don't use the n-word, therefore they're not racist, code words or not! And thus the coast is clear to use the site to showcase dissenting opinions about Black Panther!

Seriously I hope in the relaunch Black Panther book we at least get NEW and ORIGINAL Black Panther rogue galleries. Because when it comes to original Black Panther villains he has been lackluster and has been a weakness of the character. This is something both Priest and Hudlin should have developed more. There never really was any long lasting villains.
