Marvel did a good job of collecting most of the '80s X-Men-related minis in MPC format (Longshot, Magik, Wolverine & Kitty Pryde, vs. the Fantastic Four, Mephisto vs..., Iceman, Beauty and the Beast, etc.), but I do wish they'd gotten around to the Nightcrawler mini as well. It's goofy and kind of uneven, but it's certainly no worse than stuff like the Iceman mini or Fallen Angels. Not sure why it didn't happen.

Likewise, I'm sure rights issues would make it nearly impossible, but another of the ones that never got collected was X-Men vs. the Micronauts. You know Marvel would love to be able to market that as "Prelude to Onslaught" or something like that, too.

It also would've been nice to have gotten some of the various one-shots collected in a sort of "X-Men Rarities" hardcover. Unessential but completist stuff like X-Men visit the State Fair of Texas, that terrible Obnoxio the Clown v. the X-Men story (well, maybe not), and Heroes for Hope, though I guess that would be a rights nightmare too.

Finally, it's too bad we never got another couple volumes of X-Men Vignettes to complete the collection of the X-Men Classic back-up stories. Some of those were really good.

I'd like some Birds of Prey collections in the style of the Nightwing trade that's coming out, at least to collect Dixon's run.

Birds of Prey, Vol. 1 The Revolution (Black Canary / Oracle: Birds of Prey, Manhunt #1-4, Revolution, Wolves, Batgirl, The Ravens, Batman Chronicles #1, Showcase '96 #3) [326p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 2 One of Those Days (#1-12) [276p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 3 The Hunt for Oracle (#13-21, Nightwing #45-46) [277p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 4 History Lesson (#22-26, 28-30) [182p]
    Birds of Prey, Vol. 5 The Killing Ground (#31-38, 42, 44-46) [277p]
    Birds of Prey, Vol. 6 The Chaotic Code (#47-55, Catwoman/Oracle, Batgirl/Catwoman) [305p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 7 Of Like Minds (#56-68, Secret Files 2003) [338p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 8 Between Dark and Dawn (#69-80) [307p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 9 The Battle Within (#81-95) [346p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 10 Blood & Circuits (#96-108) [316p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 11 New Frontiers (#109-127) [230p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 12 Platinum Flats (#119-127) [208p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 13 The Death of Oracle (#1-15) [333p]
    Birds of Prey, Vol. 14 First Flight (#1-12, 0, 13-17) [378p]
Birds of Prey, Vol. 15 Things Fall Apart (#18-34) [321p]

My top wishlist items are an omnibus treatment (multi-volume, as warranted) for the following:

Incredible Hulk by Peter David - probably impractical to reproduce the entirety of his run, but at least enough to capture his pairings with McFarlane and Keown
New Mutants by Chris Claremont - the Classic TPB line is appreciated but doesn't do justice to this title
Avengers by Roger Stern - high hopes for this one as a tie-in to the cinematic release of Infinity War Part 1 or 2 (maybe a volume apiece!)
Uncanny X-Men - volume 3 through however many Marvel sees fit to print
Amazing Spider-Man - ditto the UXM treatment above

Also need to see the following OHC, ideally no later than this time next year:

Fall of the Mutants Prologue - UXM #215-219, NM #47-54, XF #12-17

And I may be one of few who wants this one, but I'd love to see TPBs that complete:

Sensational She-Hulk - #9-60 (with Byrne and without, this was a fun series!)

I guess when a x-men onlslaugh omni is anounced is a good time to ask for better x-men omnis, here's my 2 cents:

X-Men: Legacy Omnibus (X-Men: Legacy Vol. 1 #208–218 +X-Men: The Unlikely Saga of Xavier, Magneto and Stan one-shot and X-Men: Odd One Out one-shot + X-Men Original Sin one-shot and Wolverine: Origins #28–30 )
Uncanny X-Men – The New Age by Chris Claremont Omnibus (UXM #444-474)
    X-Men by Seagle & Kelly Omnibus (with: Uncanny X-Men #350-#365, X-Men #70-84, X-Men Unlimited #17-#18 + #22 + #25, Alpha Flight #8-#9, Uncanny X-Men & Fantastic Four Annual, X-Men #0.5)
    X-Men by Alan Davis Omnibus vol.1 (X-Men #85-94,X-Men ’99 Annual, X-Men: Magneto War #1, Uncanny X-Men #366-374,Wolverine #140-144, Hulk #7-8, Cable #71, Gambit #8-9, Astonishing X-Men #1-3)
    X-Men by Alan Davis Omnibus vol.2 / Apocalypse: The Twelve Omnibus (Uncanny X-Men #375-380+Annual 1999, Cable #72-78, X-Men #95-99, X-Men Unlimited #25-26, Wolverine #145-149, X-Man #59-60, X-Force #101, X-Men: The Search for Cyclops #1-4)

    and a OHC of
Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix (with: Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix 1-4, X-Men: Books of Askani, Askani'Son 1-4, Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix 1-4 )

(lots of good stuff, way better than Onslaught and notice I dind't even go to the UMX 3 question.. )

I'm really not a fan of the BND era, but I do agree it would be a good idea to put them out in a more concise (collection wise) form than the many, many volumes it was released over initially.

I guess with all the OHC a House of M omnibus is questionable, but I definitely need this one:
    Decimation Omnibus (with: House of M: The Day After #1, Mutopia X #5, Sentinel Squad O*N*E #1-5, X-Men #177-179, New Excalibur #1-3, X-Men Unlimited #13, Uncanny X-Men #466-468, X-Men: The 198 Files #1, X-Factor #1-4, Son of M #1-3, X-Men: 198 #1-5, Generation M #1-5, New X-Men #20-23, Son of M #4-6, Wolverine #36-40. X-Men: Deadly Genesis #1-6, New Avengers #16-20)

When it comes to Marvel, I'm pretty happy owing to their ridiculously prolific trade program. But I'd like to see Epic lines for Hulk, Dr. Strange, Defenders, and Namor. Those're basically the last big titles that haven't had an Epic started. More Daredevil would be super nice too.

On the DC front, three titles spring to mind: PAD's Aquaman, Ostrander's Suicide Squad and the entirety of Fury of Firestorm (and that short predecessor). All three are relevant enough now it's just sort of inexplicable.

More collections of the old Astro City would be welcome too- a Family Album reprint just popped up again for an April release after being cancelled a few years ago, so this is boding well.

I'd like to see more Golden Age collection as well. Nice, complete archival collections of, say, Briefer's Frankenstein or Police Comics would rule. And that's without getting into the solo stuff like Plastic Man or Captain Marvel that's technically public domain...

I'm always surprised the original Image guys haven't jumped into the omnibus format---Spawn's been well collected in an oversized hardcover Origins line, although that's seemingly petered out. Savage Dragon has been in the Amazon solicits in a similar format for years now, but always keeps getting bumped another six months. But I'd love to have Silvertri's Cyberforce collected in some format; Wildcats, Gen13, and Stormwatch from Lee (and DC),; and what's Liefeld waiting for. I thought those guys loved money

--When that Dynamite revival dies, hopefully Valiant will be able to reprint their 90's' Solar and Magnus.
    trying to be nicer
