Batman: Best Ever Comic Book Video Game Series!

Despite all the bugs, freezes and crashes associated with Batman: Arkham Origins (WB Games Montreal) the games by the Rocksteady company Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City are still without peers both receiving Game of The Year awards!


Every now and then in between work and work I boot up and play one of them again to pass the time and pick different sequences to complete the games but it never gets old!


As the time approaches for the final entry from Rocksteady titled Batman: Arkham Knight this is an appreciation for the series that changed the way super hero games will be made forever!

Arkham Origins was a step down from the prior 2 entries in the series. Which is understandable as Rocksteady didn't work on that game. Plus they even said they wouldn't fix bugs because they wanted to focus on DLC instead.

That said, the story wasn't that bad and Troy Baker did a good job as Joker. He's no Hamil but he works in a pinch.

I did like the big bridge that you had to span to cross over to other parts of Gotham City and the quick travel by the Batwing as well but it was missing that special something that Rocksteady always put in!


The Bane in Arkham Origins was far more menacing than the goofy one in the previous two and the lack of shoppers or random bystanders on X-mas Eve was unusually weird!


I'm surprised though that real life police officers did not make a stink about Batman beating up so many cops in the latest game that had NWA F... The Police written all over it!


It did seem like they ran out of gas in the cut shots where each villain mocked you when you got killed... Rocksteady made certain that each quote had certain types of emphasis placed on it these guys were phoning it in while trying to be too cute!


The shock gloves... Oh don't get me started and the glue grenades that also made rafts for water travel was pushing maximum silliness!


I still play it though just to kill time until the next release now that they have patched quite a few of the bugs that froze the game!


I have not bought an Xbox One yet but depending upon the release of the new Halo game and Arkham Knight I was waiting for more games that I would actually play regularly!
