This is one of my favorite books by Mignola ever, I love the world he's creating here.

Awesome indeed, I was so floored to see the Brotherhood show up and the mystery that presents is amazing.

This is the only Mignola Hellboy when he does the writing and drawing that I haven't read. I haven't read all of the BPRD books, nothing against them. Reading this thread, I have to go get some!

You totally should. Now that the Plague of Frogs omnibus collection has gone in to paperback, you can get that whole story really cheap.

Another stellar issue. I forgot this was in the Hellboy Universe (I can't keep all the series straight)
I looked over the issue again and I think the "Master" is never named. Who is he? And what war did he fight in, it was the late 19th Century, so it wasn't WWI, and it wasn't the Civil War with those tanks?

Baltimore is actually the one that isn't in the Hellboy universe.

I don't think he's talking about Baltimore but rather the leader of the Brotherhood, and I think that the battle featured here was the the Civil War, and the tanks were from his visions of the future not the war he served in.

It was a pretty cool sequence, sort of terminatorish.

Busy week behind the scenes, sorry. I'm trying to get four university assignments done too.
