They won't have to worry about it qualifying, though, because it's a great, iconic example of the theme.

I know there's a fan debate over whether wielding some or all of the power of Thor makes you Thor, but that's so silly it makes my head spin. Of course it doesn't. Thor is guy. It's not his masked identity or some mantle you can pick up, it's his real name. Eric Masterson, for example, was never Thor. It's just that "Eric Masterson Temporarily Wielding the Power of Thor" was a bit too cumbersome for the cover.

I remember the Riddler doing the same thing, and me wondering what the heck the Bat-world was coming to (though it was the '90s, so he was probably "Extreme Riddler").

Superman appears pixelated on a screen, doesn't that count as him appearing on the cover of an issue of his own series?

No doubt stretching the limits, I'm okay with both. There is a cover that actually has the title characters on it, but let nature take its course.

    EDIT: Found another: [IMG]http://x.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel/i/mg/9/e0/4c7d5b6e459e2/detail.jpg

EDIT: Someone beat me to the Fantastic Four cover!

One cover only is the only rule we really enforce. If you could edit out the FF cover to avoid confusion, please.
Hope is not lost today. It is found.

Tough decision this week, but ultimately SuperCooper carries it with Pizza Dog.

The Beast of Yucca Flats. Not so much for the quality of the cover, but for the love of Section Eight.

That, on the whole, and by and large, if a man lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, in the end, more or less, turn out all right.
