The World Army soldier in Earth 2 is Sonia Sato. Pre-Flashpoint she was the second Judo Master and was a member of the JSA.
I hope DC does something with Captain Steel. There really aren't enough Asian male superheroes. Also he's the first Filipino American superhero I can think of.
It makes me sad that DC is already tearing down Earth 2. There was so much more world building that could have been done.
Wildstorm Wetworks Grail is filipino probably bec. the creator of Wetworks is a filipino named Whilce Portacio.
Jessica Cruz is Filipino as well
Yep. Even before she showed up in the book it was made clear by Geoff Johns that she's Korean.
Though I don't think any in story chat ever said this so I suppose it could be easy to not know. Though it kinda falls into the area of how to say it without it being odd.
"Oh yes that's Element Woman. A Korean-American shapeshifter of elements."
But yeah it's been known since (before) her introduction.
Now if only we saw her get an origin story. I'd love that.
Here are some other asians but south asians and other groups in asia.
Most are not not from dc or marvel below but this shows that others countries have superheros too.
Of course east asian countries have superheros comics, movies and tv shows etc..like one punchman and many others.
Even some african countries and latin american countries.

Sonia Sato looks mixed to me. They do tend to draw her with some color on her.
