I think that as Ms. Perrette stated in twitter feed she doesn't want to affect the lively hood of the people behind the scenes, but due to unflattering rumors that she's stated are flat out lies being spread about her she felt as though she had to make some type of statement. I've seen many post elsewhere online where "fans" are playing detective trying to figure out who she's talking about and if their right and based on some other rumors I've seen on line it got spell some trouble the original NCIS in the future.

I think the loss of Abby was already a big blow to the long running series and when you get to a point where most of the original cast has left it's time to look at wrapping things up. There are some shows like Law & Order that were able to survive for a long time with a rotating cast and Law & Order had it's highs and lows through out it's 20 season run but most shows start showing their age as they go along and as more and more fan favorite characters leave these shows so do the fans.

From what was learned she signed for 8 episodes (this half season) and the show will work something for the next 8 episodes. Cohan seems to be hedging her bets in case this show doesn't work out.

Okay, I've got 8 returning shows that I watch plus Elementary which is being held to midseason. I plan on watching the return of Murphy Brown. And I might try FBI simply because I'm a fan of actress Missy Peregrym. Beyond that, there's nothing of the new shows that interest me.

IMO that's a decent run, Something i wish The Expanse got, though rumor has it they're talking to Amazon.
