Fictner is way too good for a tech show though. At least to be on screen. He could narrate something on discovery and be fine but he should be doing serious acting not hosting a show.

NBC has pulled Powerless from the Thursday night schedule with two episodes remaining unaired, essentially but not officially canceling the series.

he's a recurring character on "Empire" and has a number of movies coming in the next year or so

Im sure doing Top Gear is a nice change of pace for him
