It could be interesting for him to merge with that Russian scientist from season 1. It could be that Martin and Jefferson has to try a 3-way merge with her to stabilize her from going super critical and a feedback happens where Jefferson and the Russian scientist successfully merge and drain the Firestorm matrix from Martin leaving him cured. I remember a few years ago one of Chelsea Handler's writers remarked how she made life hell for folks who worked on her late night show. That she was constantly driving them crazy and that she was there from day #1 til the end. And that Handler never told folks she was gonna end the show and suddenly just announced it.
