Nope they didn't leave on their own. They fired them to save a buck. Cheaper with just the main two. Sad right.Didn't all the original people leave Mythbusters already ?
As for gunsmoke it was canned at one point but they changed their minds and renowed it but they had to find a place for it. So they killed the Addams family and I think gilligans island to bring it back to take their time slot!
That's why Addams family was only on for the short time it was on! Kind of sad as gunsmoke was not as good after this and the main cast only had cameos in their own show!
