    And that said, personally, I think Saturday morning children's blocks died, or at least began to do so, when Garfield and Friends and The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show were cancelled. That certainly marked the beginning of when the quality of Saturday morning cartoons took a massive landslide. As with TV shows in general, if plain old good writing would make a remarkable comeback and eliminate the 'anything goes, especially if it's 'realistic' and/or crude' mentality so prevalent now, it would make a world of a difference with a lot of genres, mediums, and even TV schedule blocks.
    Was the bugs and tweety show reruns of old looney tunes?

    Pretty much. I think occasionally they showed a newer one (you could tell because it wasn't Mel Blanc's voice), but the old Termite Terrace stuff took up the majority of it.
