Storm, like the insufferable princess she is, banished the naysayer to go till the fields back in her native land.

I have noticed a lack of new characters. Then again it might not be a bad thing. After all we got the Hellfire Brats. As well as characters called Snot and Glob. Snot of all things. At least Goldballs has a decent power even if badly named. I do think the franchise needs a mix of old and new characters to survive. I like Sinister Apoc and Sabertooth like the next X-fan. I'm also kind of getting tired of seeing them in stories.

If you've heard the interview, Claremont was venting because he was generally unhappy about the restrictions on what he could write, and his comment was "I've heard that..", so he was passing on a rumour he'd heard, and and probably exaggerated its validity because he was in a bad mood.

Yeah there have been a bunch of new characters being introduced and it looks like Charles Soule will create few new ones too for his future work. I would take that rumor(and it isn't more) with a truck-load of salt
