Episode 3 "Things You Can't Outrun" was decent. What kind of restaurant has bullet proof windows? I liked the reference to the Flash Museum. Nice showing of The Mist's powers and the actor that played him was pretty creepy. Firestorm origin story sort of. Jesse L. Martin is good as Detective West. Really enjoying Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Wells and I think his story is by far the most interesting thing going on. The only thing I'm not really enjoying is some of the drama feels really forced which honestly I except from CW. Looking forward to Captain Cold next week!

Good episode, though getting the "freak of the week" vibe that made the first two seasons of Smallville hard to watch. Hopefully, with Cold being introduced, we can take more time and have arcs focused on the rogues as they build a team.

The bulletproof glass was because the restaurant was a front for mob activity, if you hadn't gathered.

You know they're gonna fill that prison up just in time for a big break out cliffhanger at the end of a season.

My favorite scene was the end showing Mist in that cell screaming his head off and trying to bust out of it.

Great ending showing Dr Wells viewing Barry's particle accident. I liked that Mist guy's powers.

Hmm, did anyone else notice the way Wells was looking at Ronnie and Caitlin when they were talking about their honeymoon during that first flashback? Obviously he's used his knowledge of the future to shepherd Barry towards his powers and the Flash mantle, and Barry's clearly his priority, but now I'm wondering if he wasn't Wells' only focus.

Like, what are the chances that his three closest colleagues on the particle accelerator (people he seemingly handpicked) are destined to become three of the more powerful metahumans in their own right? Vibe, Killer Frost, Firestorm....metahumans who traditionally aren't that closely linked to the Flash mythos to begin with. What if he picked those three to work on the project specifically to push them towards their own powers and superhuman roles as well?

I loved how barry shimmered his face so his dad wouldn't recognise him.

An ok episode. The special effects for the Mist were cool. Though I wish Barry would've taken him out in more of an epic manner. He tired him out then gave him a little punch. They should've at least had a nice slow mo for the finishing hit.
Touching scene with Barry and his dad at the end.
    Captain Cold next week!!!

As of now, I still think Wells is Eobard Thawne from the future. The Thawne that works with Joe is his ancestor

Well yes, he's from the future. I'm not sure if he's "Eobard Thawne"--they don't always use the same names for characters on screen as in the comics.

In one of the flasbacks he says that it's been like centuries he's been waiting for this to happen. So that must mean centuries into the future. Unless he's Vandal Savage--but I doubt that, although Vandal Savage would be a good rogue to have.

When they first had sneak peaks of the Flash outfit, I was expecting this show to be dark like ARROW--so the uniform made sense for that mood. But every episode so far has been upbeat and much more in the spirit of fun comic books. So I don't think the dark red is right. I hope they come up with a new outfit eventually. And the medallion on the chest should be white not red. And instead of always racing back to STAR labs for his costume, he should just have it in his ring.

It was a trip to see Barry and Iris coming out of a movie at the Vogue Theatre. The Vogue hasn't been a movie theatre for thirty years now, so it was a flashback to my younger days seeing that. That section of Granvillle Street used to be called theatre row--and that was the place in the city where you would go to see movies at the several theatres on that street. But most of them have been torn down now, or converted to other uses.

I think the thing I like most about this show is its unapologetic love of its source material. Smallville always seemed it was a shamed to be based on comics and went out of its way to change as much as possible just to drive that point home. The Flash embraces it all with using characters like Firestorm, Vibe, the Atom and all the other little touches on top of using real DC villians.

I like Smallville but the big difference there is that the creators behind Smallville weren't comic fans and didn't know much about it previously or have an established passion of it all which can work as a positive in some ways and doesn't in others, entirely different with the people on Flash. I mean Geoff Johns alone has a great passion for Flash.

Very enjoyable episode... found it interesting to see what went down with the particle accelerator and knowing this happened while the Arrow stuff was happening and also establishing more connection between the two series in the process.

The mist effects were cool, as was the meta prison, great dramatic scenes between Barry and Detective West and also Caitlin/Barry... Blue Devil reference at the movie theater was a nice touch, interesting to see Firestorm's series origin.

I think the series is doing a fantastic job developing and building it's core cast of characters, it's not just The Flash/Barry Allen... everyone is getting developed which is awesome.

Continue to love everything about this series, EXCEPT thinking that Caitlin might become a villain... i don't want the team to break up dangit and i don't want Caitlin to be a villain.

What was Cisco going to tell Caitlin about Ronnie? Anyone know? It was near the end, I feel like i missed something there.

Loved poking fun at the museum idea.

Nope, compared cheeks and noses, not him.
Unless they bring another actor to play a younger Wells.

Those two are the acting highlights so far, IMO.
