Not that I'd say I find Savitar scarier then Zoom. Maybe a little more intimidating, but not as scary or as monstrous as Zolomon could be.

And thank goodness we wont be dealing with another evil Speedster next season...hopefully it breaks completely from the "Flash formula" in regards to villains.

Not so easily accomplished if Iris is protected by possibly two Kryptonians (Supergirl and Superman), a Martian (J'Onn J'Onzz), and a Daxamite (Mon-El). As we saw from his being injured by Jesse Quick in the previous episode, Savitar is *not* invincible. Going against those powerful extraterrestrial beings would at the very least give him pause.



Iris is her present age (give or take a few months) when Savitar murders her. If she returns to Earth-1 a middle-aged or old woman, then the prophecy is necessarily averted.

That is not how these shows are plotted.
Logic is not really present.

But however many uberpowerful people are protecting Iris, they can't outrun Savitar, especially not if he can just run to another earth. And it's not as if Kara and co. have time to guard Iris 24/7.

Also, how about an Iris three years older instead of decades?

My only reservation about it is that it doesn't seem like it gives them much opportunity to use super powers, but we'll see how it goes. It will at least be a break from the increasingly miserable season-long arc

Savitar wouldn't have to necessarily 'beat' them, just avoid them. And nothing we've seen shows that anyone on any show could touch him. He could run in, snatch her, and zoom out before most of them could even react.

Sort of begs the question that Savitar could also change history by killing Iris sooner instead of dragging it out like this. There's really not much reason for team Flash to feel confident they have this long to figure out a way to change things.

Not originally. In his Batman the Brave and the Bold appearance all he did was control people through singing/his voice. No idea what they're doing with him here.
