Don't know much about Plastique but could she really make your clothes blow up like that in the comics like she did to Barry?

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they reveal both Multiplex and Plastique survived somehow.

Barry's suit, yes, because it's some special fibers and experimental things in it that made it explode. And plastics and alloys and stuff.
Normal clothes would just puff and burn instantly.
And I hope Plastique might be alive in this dubious reasoning of her "exploding" was actually her molecular structure regenerating and expelling the bullet with that, then healing and whatever.

My favorite part this episode was the Grodd tease, can't wait too see him.
Didn't care tonight's episode until the Grodd scene. I can't wait to see what they do with him.

Grodd there is nothing more too say, my favorite comic TV show just got better. Grodd!
When his suit exploded, I was hoping that would give them the perfect excuse to create a new one with a better design (and one that fits in his ring).
It was fabulous to see the Flash race out right under the Lion's Gate Bridge into open water. But I guess Central City isn't supposed to be near the ocean, so they called it a river. However, it doesn't look much like a river, unless it's a really wide one--and it seems like the shock wave would still cause a lot of damage. I could believe it was a lake--there are some very big lakes in the middle of the continent.
Plastique is one of the few DC characters who is Canadian--and French Canadian at that. Given the series is made in Canada--and employs a lot of Canadian talent--I was hoping that Plastique would be a Canadienne--instead she's Texan???
I thought, given it's General Eiling (and with the Plastique connection), that it would turn out Eiling and Wells had created Captain Atom five years ago. The Grodd twist didn't really impress me, since Grodd was already teased before, so no real surprise there.
The crack from Wells about Eiling not having the intelligence to create a metahuman like Plastique made me think that Wells does have that intelligence. And these accidents weren't really accidents. Maybe Wells couldn't predict exactly who would get metahuman powers, but he must have calculated the conditions that would create them.
In the original Flash stories, the nice thing about the Barry and Iris relationship was that she loved Barry. The Flash was a story, but Iris wasn't in love with him. It was a great change from the typical Lois Lane type character who is so in love with the super-hero, but could care less about his civilian alter ego. But here we see an Iris that fits the stereotype--awe-struck by the Flash, but doesn't see Barry as anything more than a buddy.
Oh yeah, and another thing that made me think Captain Atom might show up was the name Cameron Scott. It went by real quick, but it was in reference to Eiling--something about Cameron Scott. Did anyone else catch that?
I think that deep down Iris thinks of Barry as more than a buddy but just hasn't fully realized it yet.
