Batman: Year One. Greatest Batman story of all time.
Batman and Robin by Grant Morrison. The highlight of the run.
Grant Morrison's Batman run is the best Batman's ever had. Love it.
    Batman: The Long Halloween
    The Killing Joke.
Batman: The Black Mirror. Snyder's never topped it.

On the top of my mind:

    Miller's TDKR and Year One
Gothic, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth and the rest of Morrison's work on Batman
    The Cult (underrated IMO)
    The Killing Joke
    Hush
    The long Halloween

Killing Joke! I forgot to mention Killing Joke which is my favorite Batman story ever! I guess since I associate it more with the Joker than with Batman it slipped my mind. If you can only read one Batman story ever, let it be this one. And even 20 years later, Alan Moore's masterpiece still makes the best seller list.
