    The article says Age of Ultron was his last contracted appearance but from what I've always heard he resigned for Avengers 2&3, so he has at least one more contracted film ahead.

    Other than the business about Mel Gibson, I am sure that his IM4 rumors are true except that not even RDJ can get the jump on Marvel/Disney concerning making official announcements. He probably got a phone call from Deadpool about it.

    I do like the concept of how Iron Man 4 rests on Downey's willingness. Six years could pass and if he said IM4 is a go, Marvel would pull it together to make sure he's right.

    The contract is probably already signed. Disney just wants to make a huge splash with it at some con.
