Lots of Nightwish with Floor Jansen as their lead singer. She is without any argument the greatest female vocalist of all time in my opinion. Only Freddy Mercury rivals her in ability, range, and stage presence as far as I'm concerned.
This song best shows her range even if its not my favorite song of theirs (Song of Myself, Poet and the Pendulum, Greatest Show on Earth, Romanticide (Floor version)). If you've never heard it don't let the first few minutes of this ten and half minute epic fool you. This is a song that builds and builds while swapping vocal genres until the Floorgasm at 9:22. I defy anyone to name any other female singer who can do the range of genres and then hit the note with the power she does beginning at 9:22. Especially remarkable since this song was written for Nightwish's first lead singer who was fired (long story) and replaced twice. Floor took this song, long thought the original lead singers glory song, stomped all over it and made hers the definitive version. Floor can basically sing anything from opera to death metal and switch back and forth with ease.

"Everlasting Love"--Love Affair.
No shade to other artists that have covered this song, but this version has so many musical surprises--the bass riff, the lead singer's mature sounding voice (even though he's just a teen), the drum fills, the triangle. The video is just as surprising--the isolated shots, the two contrasting dancers, the posters on the wall.
