The Christmas Album (album) - Jethro Tull

PEPPER, when everyone got the same album--it was also supposed to be a same day and date release, but I think they were off by one day in some markets. That's what the famous Beatles butcher cover was all about on the North American album, YESTERDAY AND TODAY--the Beatles were angry that their albums were being butchered, with cuts taken from different albums, and less tracks on each album than what the Brits got, to make yet more Beatles albums for the hungry fans in North America (but Capitol rejected that butcher cover).
Yeah. I'm only familiar with the British Parlophone versions of the different Beatles albums. It seems to be a rare example of us not getting the shitty end of the stick for a change.

The original Help! is actually a belting little record. The 14 track collection is a terrific showcase for the Beatles' increasing maturity and ambitions as both writers and performers. The second side of the album, the 'non movie soundtrack' side if you will, contains a certain little known ditty called Yesterday . My favourite track from Side One (the soundtrack numbers) is actually The Night Before and is much recommended. The group followed this album with Rubber Soul the same year. All bets were off after that.
