And it turns out this got bumped back to February 1st.

By the way, if people haven't already read it, Matt Wagner & John K. Snyder III did a Doctor Mid-Nite three-issue Prestige Format series back in 1999 that was collected into a tpb (which was reissued a couple of years back).
It introduced the character of Pieter Cross as the new Dr. Mid-Nite; he was the one who was a member of the JSA during the Geoff Johns run.
Has anybody else been buying the Doc Savage: The Ring of Fire four-issue series from Dynamite?
Issue #3 just came out last week, and I've been enjoying it so far.
Does anybody know if Dynamite will continue with their licensing of The Spider?
Doesn't seem like he's been used anywhere in a while, and back in Masks 2 #8 (in 2015), the character was still listed as "trademarks of Argosy Communications, Inc."
Black Bat and Miss Fury were listed as "® & © 2015 Dynamite Characters, llc."
By the way, . . .
Issue #5 may finally get released on January 17th!
(At least that's what Previewsworld is currently listing it as.
And, could we possibly see Francavilla's Black Beetle: Necrologue in 2018?
From back in December (2017), https://twitter.com/f_francavilla/st...6692486173900811:37 AM - 12 Dec 2017Also humbly hoping I have contributed to the pool of Pulp icons with my own BLACK BEETLE. With a new mini NECROLOGUE coming in 2018,
While I'm (im)patiently waiting to see if Dynamite starts coming out with more pulp adventure/mystery titles again (aside from the Amy Chu Green Hornet book that starts next month), I'm trying to find some good prose pulp books.
I've been reading some of the Tales of the Red Panda novels and they've been goofy-fun.
I've also been reading a collection that reprints the original Domino Lady stories from 1936 and enjoyed those, too.
I just finished an Airship 27 collection of "New Pulp" stories with the Phantom Detective, but that was a bit hit-or-miss.
Might check into the original stories of that character collected by Sanctum Books next to compare.
I did order Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 of The Phantom Detective from Sanctum Books (still waiting on delivery), but in the meantime I bought
The Bat Strikes Again and Again! by Johnston McCulley(published by Altus Press; collects stories that appeared in issues of Popular Detective magazine in 1934 and 1935)
Ordered:
The Masked Detective Archives, Volume 1 by Norman A. Daniels
(published by Altus Press) from Barnes & Noble (with a 20% off coupon!)
And I'm currently (re-)reading The Avenger #3: The Sky Walker by "Kenneth Robeson".
First read this book back in the early-to-mid-1970s when I originally bought it, though the image isn't my own personal copy.
(Mine does look like that, though, with the same cover-price: 75¢.)
Yeah, a lot of the recent pulp revival books have been really good. I think what Will Murray's been doing is great.
In fact I've taken to writing my own pulps in the Doc Vandal series which is currently available on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback formats.

The first one is Against the Eldest Flame.
