    and the Liberty Legion, too?

I actually love both theses concepts, of the WWII homefront super-hero team, the Liberty Legion, and of the post WWII super-hero team, the All-Winners Squad.

Default replacing image that no longer was showing

Oh, and let's throw in the story from these issues (going all the way back to 1976 . . . almost forty years ago!):

    #7 scares me.

#8... I am amazed that that is Greg Land.
It's almost like he channeled his old self.

I'm so behind. I didn't even look at my Previews. Thank you for the scans!

I have to agree, on #7. The Invaders look like they are being tortured, while Radience is so SWEET. Very odd juxtaposition. I am wondering if they got the artist right on the solicit. I thought Marc Lamming was going to do the Original Sin issues?

    I miss Mukesh Singh's covers.

Needs some more Miss America up in here.

I think I've read nearly all of her old Golden aged and some of the more modern aged stuff. She needs a comeback with the same color scheme, and slightly modified look. Hopefully she wont be all angsty and revengy.

Thanks for posting those pics of Miss America! I added her to the roster post. She was great in the Patriot mini-series.

Well, in that case, don't forget the Whizzer.
(A case could also be made for the Blazing Skull, the original Vision and Silver Scorpion, but, if you are going to include Miss America, the Whizzer's membership is unarguable.)

By the way, does anybody think Miss America Chavez would be a good fit in the invaders?

    Peace

I miss his covers as well. Looks like I'll jump on with issue 8. Off to pre-order it now.

She has the right name but is there any connection to any of the other members or their legacies? That is one of, to me, the core aspects of the team.

Radiance works since she is golden girls granddaughter.

How did I miss this thread? Thanks Danvidar for pointing it out!

Here is what I said there about Toro now becoming a Inhuman

I'm not opposed to him being a inhuman or anything but it doesn't really add up since no mist/smoke/artist detail was involved at all when his power first emerged. I guess Marvel can say that the "chemicals" his parents where working on/exposed to was in fact the T-Mist that would later effect his mother's pregnancy ......it could work I guess but I don't really see the point in switching Toro's origin unless they wanted to use him in a movie or something.
    *Shrug*

If marvel has plans for Toro then I'm not really bothered by the change but if they are just going to do it then put Toro back in the closet then it's a wasted opportunity and not really worth it.

I'm not sure . . . beyond the name, what other connection would seem to make sense with a bunch of veterans of WWII?

I think once the book and team are established you can start adding on legacies and characters who fit the motif.
    Like JSA eventually did.
