Looks like it's actually a scheduling conflict so they can't film together (possibly due to Craig's injury) rather than they can't stand each other as some sources implied.

Granted, there have been Bond films where Bond didn't really interact with the main villain until the very end of the film...Dr.No, You Only Live Twice, The Living Daylights etc.

Getting a slight bit of Dr.No nostalgia here, as of course Bond and Felix's first formal meeting was at a Jamacian nightclub. Maybe we'll get Craigverse versions of Quarrel and Puss-Feller.

News reports are coming in that Grace Jones was going to film a cameo but walked off the set in a huff after finding out she didn't have a lot of lines.

Not the first Bond girl actress to return to the series in a different role. Maud Adams is of course the most obvious example, but another is Tsai Chin, who played Ling at the beginning of you only live twice but was also a poker player in Casino Royale (One of the more visible ones too, she's on Le Chiffre's yacht but also plays at the main game).

My suggestion is that Disney buys out MGM-- and then James Bond can be incorporated into the Marvel world for future films. He can be an agent on loan from MI-6 to SHIELD and Nick Fury.

With all the hype around Elba I think age might be a problem there too, as he's almost 50 himself.

However, Moore and Brosnan were cast in their mid 40s as well, although I think Brosnan perhaps aged a bit more gracefully in the role than Moore did (and left earlier too).

New Blood is needed, I would make it interesting by casting Lewis Tan.

It's possible that the NTTD gunbarrel will do the "opening to the movie" transition that most of the other films did-Zimmer's score for the gunbarrel has been up since last October and the music continues past the Bond theme part....
