Default How powerful is Jesus Christ? Feat/Power Gauging Thread

Warning/Disclosure: This thread isn't about poking fun at anyones beliefs, or proving the right or wrong in said beliefs, it isn't about whether or not Jesus existed or if his religion is the one true religion, we are simply gauging abilities based on information provided in the primary source material to which he was transcribed. I ask that all participants be mindful of others feelings, views, and of course be as respectful as possible when discussing such matters.

Okay, I will be the first to admit, I don't recall all my sunday school lessons as well as I should in terms of written material but I do recall the general ideas lol. That said, I recall three particular feats performed by Jesus,

1.) Transmutation: The ability change one object into another. One of the feats I recall was Jesus changing water into wine. (John 2:1-11)
2.) Water Walking: The ability to walk on water as if solid ground. As it was said, he walked on the surface of a lake. (Matthew 14:22-33)
3.) Resurrection: The ability to raise from the dead. Self explanatory. (Mark 16)
    And now I finally arrived.

While you may have meant this thread with all due respect, it does still jump a board rule, (at least from the old boards, but I can't imagine it being removed in wake of the kinder, gentler CBR revamp) that currently-active religions were not to be used on Rumbles. (Fictional variants were allowed, so you could use Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter in a Rumble or whatever, but not biblical Jesus.)

So, no offense, but in before lock. :P

I see, you're likely right. Hmm nothing I can really say then.

Yeah, before the reboot of this board. No real life holy people (Christ, Buddha, etc) are to be used in rumbles.

    It's a matter of taste I think.

Well, this is a new board. So it might last.

    Which version of Jesus Christ? There's quite a few out there;

    -Biblical version, King James
-Historical/Mythological Middle East version, original Aramiac
    -Biblical version, Latin
    -Church of England version
    -Qu'ran version
-Fictional version(Saint Young Men et. al)
-Composite version, which is all of the above w/ heavy artillery.

Dude, you know using religious figures is not okay.

It's the sort of the stuff that can, understandably, offend others.

Let's just wait until Guy1 logs on and closes the thread. Less potential trouble for everyone involved that way.

I really wouldn't know which one to pick. My gut says go with the King James version.

Well if put in the fictional context I don't see why it would be offensive(and there are some who would argue that all of them are fictional, which IMHO contrives the real-world right for every adult to believe what they will) However you are right.

    Let's wait on Guy.

I'm sorry to spoil everybody's fun but, well, rules are rules.
I'm going to close this thread for now and discuss it with my fellow mods. If it gets the go-ahead, I will re-open it. But for now, it's down.

    Sorry Sasuke.

Thread shall remain closed due to the topic of real life religious figures being deemed too flammable a subject.
