Okay. I'm way behind as I'm just watching this.

I think this might have been the best Marvel One-Shot to-date. If there's any chance that Disney/ABC would make a series out of this, I'd be completely game for it: Mad Men has prepped the world for American anachronism.

I think it would work nicely; especially with the wonderful insidious Hydra reveal in CATWS. There's a lot to play with in this series and not just obvious of a woman in the usually male dominated spy arena. It would be fun to see how they can incorporate both while keeping those secrets.

I was really excited for this but for some reason the Hydra reveal has killed any interest I had in it. I guess I just don't like that Shield was corrupted so early in its lifecycle.

IIRC, I think the Hydra infestation occurred in the 70s, not in the late 40s/early 50s the series would be set in. (The article states a 1946 setting.) It makes sense to me that S.H.I.E.L.D. would be come corrupted around that time period. As it gained influence, people would start to target it for their own personal gains. As Hydra's influence grew, they'd start recruiting people who, I suspect would never be recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. before.

Could definitely work! I'll watch it automatically for Hayley Atwell. The short was okay, hopefully the show is a bit more over-the-top and fun than that was.
