    Default REVIEW: Black Magick, #3

"Black Magick" #3 is slow-moving but rich in atmosphere, and the end result is a pleasant experience as Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott let this world of police work and secret magick unfold in front of us.

For anyone that might care I typed the entire page of German text into Google translate

    Here is what I got...........

Woman: You were only expected towards evening.

First Man: I come from London

Woman: Ah. We thought you were in Frankfurt

First Man: Is there a tribunal

Woman: Yes. I was already in place when they called you. Apparently investigation.
I'm doing something and stuck the archive new order in the files ...
and came across a fascinating report from Alexandria
Almost 50 years before the common era.

    First Man: BC

    Woman:
    if you'd rather.
I find personally that blind faith brings his own prejudices with them.
and the other prejudices can always yields especially good

Other Man: Stepan Thank you for being here.
I think we have encountered something.

Thank you for that Sven, I was curious about what they were saying.

As for the write-up, I'm glad that the reviewer pointed out that the slow pacing was not a bad thing. But it's funny to see it mentioned at all. I guess slow pacing just doesn't bother me... it's a non issue. I mean, my favorite filmmakers are people like Dreyer and Bergman, so maybe I'm just used to it. But also I see their pacing as deliberate. It moves how it's supposed to move, not because of some defect in the writing or direction. So to with this title.
“That’s right, I’m Doughy Man! Butter is my ally, steak does my bidding! Sour cream bows down before me in total abject terror!”

Thanks sven. I liked this issue, even though I thing they are printing to dull and not bringing the light vales up enough.

Thanks for the translation. I was coming for this thread specifically hoping someone had done this already!

Another good issue. Not much plot progression, but I love the art for the magickal moments.
