Has anyone noticed that the pink skies feature pre52 versions of the characters?

OMAC, Wally West, Wonder Woman, Batman, and tons more.

Any speculations on why?

best guess: WB has taken a more direct interest in DC now that the superhero adaptation war with disney is going decisively in the mouse's favor; more than they did when the new 52 launched. they want a big event to renew interest in DC comics (and make it look more attractive than marvel) in time for dawn of justice.

naturally, DC has taken this to mean time for a crisis

In the booster gold futures end 1, these pre new 52 characters have been shown to be in bottles. Maybe giant brainiac will send in robots into the bottles to play with the characters. Or maybe giant brainiac will bring out some of these trapped characters into his blood moon place to play with his robots.
