Default How do you prefer your Jim Gordon hair color?

How do you like Gordon's hair to be? White hair and moustache? Or Brown hair and moustache?

Chances are you'll prefer what you remember from when you first started reading comics.

I think it depends on how old he's suppose to be. I grew up with the "older" Gordon with with white hair and 'stache, but I quickly got use to New 52 Gordon with brown hair and mustache because it makes sense if he's been de-aged.

(Now, if this were about Batman with-or-without the visible trunks, . . . )

Isn't Gordon ginger in his youth? I got that impression from early issues of nu52.

But I like him as silver hardcase.

I'm not saying comic book fans can focus on minutia, but...

Yeah, for comics, I did prefer the white/grey haired/'stache'd Gordon, but after a while, the brown/reddish haired/'stache'd Gordon actually grew on me.

For Movies/TV -- whatever works best for the actor and story.

Ginger Jim Gordon is my preference, but as that wasn't an option I voted for white instead. If I can't have him ginger, I'll have him old and experienced.

Honestly I don't mind the addition of red back into his hair to give him that familial resemblance to Babs. But I do wish they'd salt & peppered it a bit, like maybe give him some Hal Jordan style white temples, and perhaps his beard has gone white, but not his mustache yet. Sort of the same spots my old man started going silver in his thirties - the temples and beard were the first to go, and now it's mostly silver, the mustache is the last outpost of color.

    Best of both worlds!

The better question is Jason Todd: natural black or hair dye?

Jason having natural red hair was retconned ages ago after Jim Starlin rebooted the character. I know what Jason said in Batman & Robin, but to be honest Grant Morrison tends to reference old stories and characters without explanation or respecting canon.

On the subject on Nightwing, giving him long hair is a plain dumb idea. There's a reason why police officers and soldiers are asked to cut their hair. Superheroes having long hair and not wearing a mask or at least putting it in a bun are idiots. I had long hair myself for a few months and I couldn't even go for a jog without the hair getting in my way.
