I like the Joker something weird because I hate clowns in the real life.
But he is a charismatic villain.. Like many I see him as Batman BEST VILLAIN(even having Bane too in a pedestal)

By the way, from his first appearance: Batman #1 (Spring 1940):
And don't forget, he was also featured in a second story in that same issue.
I'm over the clown. He's been so oversaturated I've stopped caring. I don't outright hate him, but I'm more or less done with him. Joker War hit critical mass and now The Joker is a deterrent from me buying Batman product. My interest will likely return one day-- when written well, he's great! Right now, though, I would prefer he took a five year dirt nap.
Dew it!
I was bored of him even before The Dark Knight threw his popularity into overdrive, but I don't expect these things to cater to my taste anymore.
As far as the Joker that they publish most of the time now, I'm way over him. Just kill him off already. Or at least for a few years.
Hamil's Joker will always be aces though. I don't want to hear from him again until he's consistently like that version. And that includes having much less of a body count in his wake

Too bad we didn't have an option for "I like the character in general, but he's been overused in the past few years."
We are back to head canon, are we not?
I voted for like the Joker, because well he is the smartest, most ruthless, most
dangerous of Batman's foes. You want Batman pushed to the wall, struggling against
tremendous odds than the Joker brings that out of him. Yes, you can find other people
that do that as well, but not like him.
I don't think that Batman really needs the Joker. If there is a final confrontation where say
Batman kills him. Batman isn't going to miss him for a second.
I don't care for the elaborate jokey Joker for it takes away from just how dangerous he really is.
Just because the Joker looks like a clown, doesn't make him one.
I honestly can't remember the last Joker story that actually stands out to me. I mean, I enjoyed King's take, but he (thankfully) really didn't make him the center of any particular story. As much as I enjoyed portions of Snyder's run, he just completely overused the character, imho. Before that it was a good long time (maybe going as far back as NML).
Currently, I am enjoying Azzarello's Joker from his Black Label Suicide Squad book, which also brings to mind that I did enjoy his Joker graphic novel from some years back.
Keep in mind that you have about as much chance of changing my mind as I do of changing yours.
Actually it would make a great story , " The Killing of the Joker " . Someone would actually kill the Joker and Batman would have to investigate who did it. The Joker could always come back from death, like everyone else does.
Can’t stand the character. He’s over used and worryingly hero worshipped by some in RL.
He’s currently got Wolverine/Deadpool syndrome. I collected his series in the 70’s, and it’s one of the few books I read from the current DC. I have the classic Aparo head shot as a tattoo option, and he is in my top three villains in comics, with Dr. Doom and Magneto. I have enjoyed his exploits screwing with Superman and other DCU heroes in the past, and am curious to see where the ongoing story goes. Overuse? No doubt. Though he’s not the Morgan Freeman of comics either. If I could ever get the cover of Batman #321 screen printed onto a t shirt, I’d wear it to a rag. It’s my favorite 1 off story.
