This season has been so disappointing. They decided to have Dany turn Mad Queen over the span of two episodes in order to wrap up the show in lieu of good writing.
Iím sure the books will explain everything much better at least.

It's High Valryrian for "Grey Worm." She doesn't like calling him Grey Worm because it seems demeaning.

I doesn't matter if GRRM plans this or not, it still doesn't make how the show wrote/conveyed it any good. That's on them. Also:

-Dany decimating the Iron Fleet and Golden Company and blowing open the gates of KL pretty much single-handidly is ludicrous. All of that time "weakening" her and making Cersei look so cunning, and Euron so invincible, and hyping up the Golden Company, etc. And nah, it meant nothing in the end and Dany's victory was still super-easy.

-So Euron can hit three straight kill-shots on a dragon from miles away, and Bronn can bring one down with one shot when it was flying away from him, but firing dozens of shots at it this episode when it's much closer and coming towards them, and they miss EVERY SINGLE time, yeah sure D&D. Also the Scorpions sure suddenly got completely ineffectual all of a sudden, convenient.

-Arya turning back when she's literally at the gates of the Red Keep and, giving up on her revenge. This despite her killing everyone else on her list, plus TNK, without mercy, and The Hound waiting until they're literally at the Red Keep to finally tell her this, and her just going along with it and sparing the person at the top of her list, RIIGGHHHTT. And D&D admitted that they waited this long solely because they wanted Arya as a POV character to witness the destruction of KL, which is a pathetic justification. Also of course Arya makes it out, she's the show's pet character after all.

-Tyrion ratting out Varys, his friend since Season 2 who SAVED HIS LIFE multiple times, WHAT!!

-Dany must have grown some more Unsullied in a garden or something because she shouldn't have that many of them left at this point.

    -Jaimie, just Jaimie.

    -Etc.

Wow this was a disaster of an episode.

The Scorpions only really hit any of the Dragons when they were taken by surprise. They couldn't avoid it because they didn't see it coming. Once they became aware of the threat, it was much much harder to actually hit a moving target in the air actively dodging them with a giant cross bow. Hard to the point of basically being impossible as they couldn't replicate the feat.

Also, I buy Arya turning her back at that moment. If the castle wasn't falling apart from a dragon attack, I might feel differently... but give that sticking around would basially be suicide I think changing your mind about revenge makes sense. Wanting revenge is one thing... but essentially killing yourself to do it is something else entirely. The Hound was willing to die to get his revenge because he didn't care about anything else by that point... but Arya wasn't necessarily ready to throw her life away just to kill Cersi, who frankly was going to die anyways. Staying would basically mean Arya dies for nothing.

-The entire last season and this season basically set the scenario that bad things happened to Dany when she was tactical and that when she went all out with her dragons she was decisively victorious. So when she finally went all out it was the same result as Aegon. Nothing could stop her. That’s why Dragons are so important.

    - Rheagal was weakened and was taken by surprise. In that very episode Dany dodged them with Drogon when she was ready. Again pretty clearly laid out what the situation was.

-Arya was never going to kill Cersei and Arya was already convinced that Cersei was going to die in that castle

    - The sane Varys that testified against him in the trial? He was committing treason and is arguably the most dangerous conspirator in the country

Any player in GOT who went to war would do the exact thing to their foes.
Does that make Tywin, Rob, Jon, etc mad?
They are ruthless against foes while knowing what kind of cruelty serves a purpose and what is simply waste of resources.
Well with the exception of Jon as he explicitly states that he doesn't want the Iron Throne...that's precisely the point Game of Thrones is making. Dany has been just as ruthless as Stannis, or Twyin, or Cersei, or Bolton, etc. but we dismissed it or ignored this because, in the beginning, her response seemed justified. But the point GRRM and the show has been making all along has been that it doesn't matter how good or noble or just one's motivations are; when it comes to the pursuit of power, it not only destroys those around you and the innocent and guilty alike, it also destroys you.

Hence why, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, that asking "Who will sit on the Iron Throne?" is the wrong question to ask. What we should have been asking all along is "Who deserves to sit on the Iron Throne?" The answer is no one. That's why to me the best ending, the only satisfactory ending, is that ultimately the Iron Throne is destroyed and thus no one sits upon it. Because it's the Iron Throne and the pursuit of it that's been the problem all along. It's the desire for power, to rule, to sit on the Iron Throne--and as much we might hate it, that's been Dany's goal--which has caused more destruction to the Seven Kingdoms than anything else.

Also, this time Daenerys dove straight down from above... the Scorpions can't fire straight up, and by the time they could get any kind of shot half the fleet was in flames and the defenders were firing in blind panic.

She didn't say "OK, death... I guess today's the day."

Everyone saying Jamie just fell back to type seem to forget no matter how evil his sister is she is still carrying his unborn child. I think that more than anything is one of the main reason he went back for Cersie. Jamie has lost 3 children already and the thought of losing yet another one had to be eating him up.

thats true but the show didnt really do a good job of conveying that in terms of his character development. They really messed up by not having Cersei show as that visual would have done alot in reminding us without beating us over the head with it

Article ignores a myriad of evidence in the show to the contrary if it’s hypothesis

All the episodes she said she intended to burn down whole cities and bring fire and blood with her tontake back what is hers.

Seriously someday I’ll comb through everything in the show that pointed to it and lost it. This has been a thing for awhile. She already had to be talked out if kebeking this city once.
