Old comics but....

Hi all,

I have a few old comics, such as as The Flash no 153 from 1965.... However I can't find any that have the same cover that mine has, and they're all like it.

Does anyone know why that would be?

I've attached a pic of one, I think (sorry, newbie here!)

Any info would be great.

I don't understand what you mean by: "and they're all like it", but I think what you have are the comic books with the covers ripped off. That's why every issue would look different after a search on Google. What you're seeing above is (I think) the first page and not the cover. Ripping covers off had something to do with comic book sellers sending the cover only back to the distributor for a refund. Then they'd just sell the remaining comic books without the covers. You can hear Kevin Smith and Neil Adams talk about this on Kevin Smith's podcast Fatman on Batman.

That's just my theory. I'm a little bit of a newbie myself. If anyone else can shed some light on this...

What Ohmshalone is correct, I remember seeing comics without covers sold in 3 packs back in the 70's, it was common practice for stores back in the day.

When I was younger they use to cut the top 1/3 rd of cover off and send that portion back for refund . I use to get the odd comic from the owner of corner store for a nickle .
