Glad to hear about the suit re-design. With any luck, they'll take the old classic one and tweak it properly so it no longer looks like a cheap Halloween costume and everyone will be happy (except maybe Lexrules).
As for the powers....I have no idea what Johns is planning. I dont read the book. But I assume this is going to be a short-term thing, like the electric powers were. I have a hard time seeing Geoff Johns of all people breaking away from the status quo and moving in as drastic a new direction as Superman getting new abilities.
However, if anyone at DC had the clout to make such fundamental changes, it'd be Johns. Maybe he's just bringing some of those ridiculous old Silver Age powers back; the super hypnotism and super ventriloquism. Of course, we all know what that would mean....

I always thought it'd be cool to introduce an overall augmentation to what he could do, Super Saiyan style. Maybe with a limitation involved or something so it doesn't get too hax.

Except that's probably not at all what's going on. It'll be an update to the New 52 costume, at most. Not a reversion.

People who hate the Nu52 suit shouldn't get their hopes up if JRjr is redesigning it, because he makes Lee's suit look even clunkier than Lee does.

Here's hoping the costume has SOME FAMILIARITY to the ORIGINAL SUPERMAN COSTUME. And by Familiarity, I mean RED TRUNKS.

But the Trunks are a classic symbolism look to the iconic Superman costume. To me the new 52 costume and the Man of Steel one just feels off without the infamous Red Trunks. Originally Posted by Prime
