They are mentioned/seen along with the Ascendants on the recap/cover page. Perhaps this issue might be a little of each group rsther than focusing on just one.

Just read the Spider-verse article to do with a bunch of Spider-men and women from alt universes, some Peter Parkers, others different characters teaming up against a threat.

It seems the British Spider Man is named Spider UK and he's a member of The Corps!

Already knew the name but the fact that he's part of The Corp is new.

EDIT- Just read the SDCC LIVE: Marvel Reassembles the Avengers thread- link here: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=54333, and came across this:

Spencer then spoke about "Avengers World." "We've been exploring the Avengers' role throughout the world," he said. "In this arc, starting with #10-11, is where everything comes to a head, where all the disparate challenges converge. Euro Force led by the Black Knight and a Chinese team called the Ascendent will feature heavily.

Looking forward to Avengers World and I hope that it leads to more Black Knight somewhere in Avengers Now!

Was just reading through the SDCC article about Agents Of SHIELD and Agent Carter and came across this:

"Bell revealed that actor Nick Blood will join the show as Lance Hunter, an established Marvel character traditionally depicted as the director of British organization S.T.R.I.K.E. On "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," he'll be a mercenary that Coulson turns to for help."

im excited lance hunter and daniel whitehall (Kraken) are appearing but a bit sad that lance is a mercenary rather than director of STRIKE. Hopefully he has either been kicked out of the role after the events of Winter soldier or it tells the story of him creating STRIKE (or Black Air, RCX or MI13).

Lance Hunter is the one on the far left (fingers crossed the rest of the characters in this pic appear in the MCU)

Now that Blade has been bounced from Mighty Avengers, will he show up in any UK-settings?

Lance Hunter news is great. It is a shame that there will be no STRIKE, or MI13 presumably, to accompany him. But it is a start.

Did anything else UK related come out of San Diego? Obviously, I don't think we would ever have topped last year, but still...

What is Spiderwoman's standing these days, is she British or not? If so that new series by Hopeless might count but probably not.

Thanks for a fitting, tasteful tribute from AUK, hard to believe it has been 100 years.

Yeah. That's a tricky one. I mean she WAS British. But then Bendis rewrote her Origin, in the mini series he wrote for the Luna Brothers a few years back. She was now created and raised in Wundagore. So no British part in her origin, other than parental ties.

But then as her ongoing (lol) solo series kicked off she began it in London, visiting old haunts.

So the jury is out, on that one. Maybe she considers herself British.
