So after reading African Lore, I found out that Anansi actually has three enemies for Vixen to fight. Onini the serpent, Mmoboro the hornet and Osebo the leopard, the three animals Anansi tricked to become the God of Stories.

I can see each of these "Animals Spirit/Gods" having clans or descendants that hate Anansi and are trying to kill his champion for revenge. I can even think of a way to bring Animal Man, Beast Boy and other animal-themed heroes into the mix. The first part of the story deals with the murder of Congorilla and Tasmanian Devil.

Apparently Onini was in a static shock episode trying to retrive anansi's spider totem. I think you are correct that he would me a good villain for vixen.

Really? I didn't know that. I think it's odd that Mari's relatives are always trying to kill her (her uncle, Tabu, Kuasa...). That must make family reunions and Sunday night dinners with the family really awkward. LOL

She also possessed the Dark side of Vixen's animal mimicking abilities. It's the same as Naruto and Minato...for you anime fan. As a matter of fact, a good storyline...Tabu was her mom who was reconstructed by the power of the Totem...creepy,
I like.

Could Poison Ivy become Vixen's Luthor/Joker/Cheetah arch-nemesis? Get Pamela completely out of Gotham and make her a villainous aspect of the Green to go against Mari's aspect of the Red? Plant vs Animal, in theme and powers.

I would like for Tabu to return as a villain for Vixen.

I also feel that Poison Ivy would make a great foe for Vixen. I think there can a be a lot of tension between these two. To be honest, I think Vixen and Ivy would agree on a lot of things. However, Ivy is to radical and lacks the empathy for human life that Vixen has, thus causing them to be enemies. I actually think the two of them would make for great frenemies.

Given all the flak Arrow catches for staling Batman villains and stories, maybe it's best Mari stick to her own corner of the universe, no matter how small.

I think Floronic Man would fill that role well enough especially since he’s not heavily associated with another franchise like Poison Ivy. It does suck for Vixen that most of the big name animal rogues are tied to other heroes though.

Mari should be from Ghana given Anansi's Ashanti roots.

I think Silver Swan and Dr. Psycho might be good villains for her to face in the future.

I rather start out with a Vixen-specific villian for the solo film and bring in outside threats for the sequels/teamups etc.

Unless you want the crazy Poison Ivy fan girls who freak out if Ivy is shown as anything less than the purest heroine who ever lived breaking down your doors I’d advise against bringing Ivy over. Floronic Man doesn’t have that many fans and he has basically the same power set/MO.

I think they should use Red Lion. He’s hilarious.
