How will Hollywood solve the problem of showing the lesser-known animals that Vixen will ultimately mimic? We all know what a cheetah, elephant, bird, etc. etc. look and sound like when we see those images come out of Mari's totem, but what if she wanted to mimic an eel, or several varieties of snakes, or a certain type of fish? The audience might not automatically know what animal she is mimicking and they might be confused.

Need an eel? No problem. Give us a snake looking something then have some electric sparks run over her body afterwards like in JLU. Snakes are easy, anacondas are big, big snake projection. Cobras are easy as hell. I'm just over here waiting for a Dinosaur

I want Gorilla Grodd. I wanna see her go against Grodd, that would be a true test of her power and the CGI.

If Vixen does get more live-action appearances, then I feel that she should get more creative with her powers. Think about it: Memory of an Elephant, Cold Adaptation of a polar bear (?), Pheromone abilities of an insect, quills of a porcupine, etc...This just makes me realize how cool her powers really are.

I've finally gotten to watch it in its entirety and seem to have missed seeing that part - which looked STUNNING in the GIF'd version of the bird channelling.

Yeah, I don't recall seeing that scene in the episode, either... is there some sort of Director's Cut to that episode we are not aware of? LOL

I guess it would have been placed during the Detroit intro sequence when she's chasing the bad guys before Arrow shows up. Likely it was excised in order to make the "How about I kick your ass, like a Woman" moment the first visual introduction to Mari...

Would have loved it if they had used it as her exit from the episode after discussing the totem making her a badass with Oliver - turns, runs down alley from Olly - soars off screen -

Only time I ever saw anything Vixen related was the "Venture Brothers" episode where doc decided to take a vacation from his life ( to find himself ) and Brock had chased him down to a Jungle where he and ( what appeared to be ) Vixen was about to face off with each other ( or something along those lines ).

I know her from somewhere, or who is that character in the Jungle.

Otherwise reading through the thread of the obvious comments, I prefer the original Vixen hair over the submissive conformist look. She does not even need the dreads/braids/etc.... at all. I hate when women change up there hair like that. This girl in my area who works as a receptionist at the local college changed up her hair to that point. It was nice and fluffy and beautiful ( not an Afro as some alienated European people might call it ), to go with her nice beautiful healthy body. Recently she just bald off, completely like Vixen.

Vixen original reminded me of Logan's hair basically. The creation fetish of men products on women. Same with Storm and her Mohawk. I take a fancy to women with high hair who are able to braid it low into a type of bunt ( take Mom from "Futurama" ) but bare in mind that is primary a hairstyle for men as well.

Another issue I have is when in Comics they show these "Amazing women" with hairstyles that requires a fortune to spend. I mean Wonder woman in no way could be the way she is without a lot of effort put into her body.

I was reading a newspaper today and in it was this tidbit: "The Turritopsis dohmii jellyfish can revert back to a younger version of itself when it faces stressors such as starvation."

Which means Vixen should be able to revert to a younger version of herself as well...that would be interesting to see. I wonder under which circumstances she would revert to a younger version of herself.
