    Default Starlord's hair?

Do we know why Starlord is suddenly blonde yet?

Personally I like him more as a blonde.

    The Cosmic Cube dyed it.

    Because it's cosmic, see.

I'm not joking, that's the actual explanation. >_>

    Dye job.

I liked his hair better brown personally. There are to many blonde super heroes as is.

His hair is clearly brown in that pick! By your logic Wolverine has blue hair.

To be fair, didn't Star-Lord initially have blond hair in the old days? I never read the old comics, but I did see these images online.

When he was introduced officially into the Marvel Universe by Giffen in 2006 he did have brown hair. Bendis then brought back the blond hair with his new run of GotG. However, now that he's adopted his movie costume, it goes back and forth between blond and light brown.

Comic book characters' hair colors change all the time, especially the redheads. They're remarkably inconsistent. I always figure it's just the colorist's interpretation, kind of like how different pencillers draw each character with wildly different body types.

First appearance. Clearly brown even though it's in black and white.

    Brown eyes

    vs Blue Eyes

Maybe his hair and eyes colors are frequently changing because he is a half-spartoi/half-human! :Đ

( When was the last time the word "spartoi" was used in a comics!? :-O )

    The No Prize answer..

Star Lord had cybernetic implants that cause his eye and hair color to flux. The Kree mostly dealt with the implants but there were side effects for some time which caused some play with his features.

I think the story behind this is, Star-Lord first appeared with brown hair, but had blond hair for a while because brown was a difficult color to print at the time?

    /shrug

How much it matters depends on each individual...
