"Virtua Fighter 2" (Sega) is a fighting game. It is the sequel to Virtua Fighter and the second game in the Virtua Fighter series. It was created by Sega's Yu Suzuki-headed AM2 and was released in the arcade in 1994. It was ported to the Sega Saturn in 1995 and Microsoft Windows in 1997. Virtua Fighter 2 was converted for the PlayStation 2 in 2004 as part of Sega's Ages 2500 series in Japan (source of information: Wikipedia).

This is well-crafted sequel and, in particular, deserves special note for one of its avatars, Shun Di, an herbal doctor from China who uses a unique style of martial arts known as Drunken Kung Fu.

Drunken Kung Fu artists use a body mechanics similar to that of a drunken human. The style is very old, so that its origins are unclear. The origin is attributed back to the famous Buddhist and Taoist sects. The Buddhist style is attributed to Shaolin temple in the Song dynasty (960-1279 AD).

The purpose of Drunken Kung Fu is to celebrate the idea that since the warrior must account for serendipity, the experience of disorientation, clumsiness, and light-headedness must be incorporated into fight-training.

Drunken Kung Fu represents a new age human fascination with lifestyle-infusion behavior (i.e., eTrade, Facebook, etc.).

Shun Di is a great avatar and his appearance in "Virtua Fighter 2" (Sega) really makes the game stand out and highlights our modern lifestyle-infusion consumerism culture (i.e., Starbucks) of the 'Subway Klutz.'
