Default Can someone explain me the ending of The Superior Foes of Spider-Man?

About the conclusion of "Superior Foes.." there are some dropped threads that maybe should have been fully removed. Like, the Punisher shows up for no reason. It's also not clear to me at all who Boomerang swapped costumes with in the end, why was the other guy fine with that, or why the new guy spoke as if he was the real Boomerang; i don't know if something got dropped in the compression for the final issue or if i have reading comprehension problems. Could someone explain?

    Thanks

There's still one issue left to go.
"It's not whether you win or lose, it's whether I win or lose." - Peter David, on life

"If you can't say anything nice about someone, sit right here by me." - Alice Roosevelt Longworth, on manners

Boomerang used the Chameleons formula, stolen from his safe, to make some poor sap look like him, and him look like the star Mets rookie pitcher he replaced. If that had been the final issue, I would have been OK with it, cause it is a perfect ending. But there is one more issue. Sadly, only one...

It is sad because the book is phenomenal but I get some comfort in knowing Spencer was given the time to tell his full story. Some stories are best that actually get an ending. I love Morning Glorious but keep thinking it has to have an end date sooner or later because it is such a huge mystery that it's hard to read monthly and will begin to weaken if drawn out
