Survey, part deux

All right. Let's do this again.

The recent survey by pantiara yielded some very interesting results. However, it was also problematic. Firstly, there are way more than 15 X-Men in existence. Secondly, only the first 100 surveys got taken into account, and we are a bigger community than that. And because I'm obssessed with statistics (seriously, who here took S1 through S4 in their A-Level?) and very bored, I have taken it upon myself to find out the relative popularity of various X-Men members among the denizens here.

It's simple. Post a reply containing your lists of most favorite and least favorite X-Men, both ordered. The top favorite X-Men gets 10 points, the second gets 9, and so on. Same with least favorite, only the points goes from -10 to -1. Every time I feel like it, I will update the result on the second post.

Ground rules:

1. All entrants must have been in a X-team or solo set in the mainstream (616) universe.
2. Codenames where possible, for my sanity. If the real name is more popular (Emma Frost, Jean Grey, etc.), then use that.
3. Indifference doesn't imply hatred.
4. Alternate versions do not count (Teen O5, general Howlett, etc.). Should you include any of them, I will count the vote toward the 'main' version of that character.

I have started working on demographics. Feel free to leave your gender and age.

Remember, if your favorite X-Men isn't on the list, then either they are not that popular, or you didn't vote.

Disclaimer: This is quite certainly the least useful rankings of the bunch, since it's possible - if not likely - to like to two characters without liking them as a pairing (coughroguemagnetocough), and at least one voter explicitly said so in their vote. Nonetheless, the numbers are interesting to look at, and there ought to be some degree of correlation to the actual opinions.

How it works: Everytime two characters of a pairing appear in a vote, the absolute values of their scores are added together to make a new score, i.e. |a| + |b|. Then that score is put into one of three categories:
- OTP: Both characters receive positive votes.
- (S)he deserves better: One character receives a positive vote, while the other receive a negative vote.

pretty much them. i was always first and foremost an x-force fan, and avid believer of more extremist methods for the mutant species specificaly. i NEVER saw the x-men as a superhero team, more of as a scifi comic, and always believed that the truth was like 60% magneto's way and 40% xavier's way. so i generaly dislike the x-men blue side as well as all xavier's stupid idealistic unrealistic teachings, though Storm gets a pass for various reasons.

Most favorite ignores negative votes; overall most favorite doesn't. Although now that you say it, I might go back and count who got the most first place.
