Listen, I've got a suggestion to anyone interested with free time and mood. Keeping in mind that just a limited amount of characters often hogs the lists, what about a "B-survey" that would save a space for "supporting" characters, those who we love but usually forget or simply must set aside in favor of the "big ones"?

I would concretely recommend a survey in which participants CANNOT VOTE for:

1. The whole Original Five
2. The whole Second Genesis team (except Banshee, Sunfire and Thunderbird)
3. Professor Xavier and Magneto
4. Mystique, White Queen, Shadowcat, Psylocke, Gambit and Rogue
[5. Maybe even Dazzler, Jubilee or Phoenix II]

I would really like to know which other X-characters are appreciated by CBR fandom, because I'm always sad to left out of my list so many I love: Legion, Karma, Magik, Rictor, Wolfsbane, Banshee, Destiny, Callisto, Caliban, etc. etc. etc.

Now I have a survey question. Out of the people who put Beast on their 'Least Favorites/Hated' list, how much of that is based on current characterization? I ask because the old, jovial (with occasional bouts of self-loathing) Beast was one of my favorite characters (I would have put him 2 or 3 on my list) but the current Bitter Beast version is so far from that I am half convinced he is really some alternate universe version and the real McCoy is strapped to a gurney somewhere to make MGH from.
