These were the few most recent CD reviews that I did:

Lone Justice - This Is Lone Justice - The Vaught Tapes, 1983
John Gorka - Bright Side of Down
    Anette Olzon - Shine
    Jennifer Nettles - That Girl
    Red Dragon Cartel - S/T
House of Lords - Precious Metal

By the way, this was my best of 2013 list breakdown:

As part of my writing duties with KNAC.com I had to submit my list of the top 10 rock and metal CDs for 2013. You can check out the full list of CDs from all the site's contributors HERE.

    My list is as follows:

01.) Oliva - Raise The Curtain (Nuclear Blast)
02.) Metal Church - Generation Nothing (Rat Pak Records)
    03.) Black Sabbath - 13 (Republic Records)
04.) Fates Warning - Darkness in a Different Light (InsideOut Music)
05.) S.U.N. - Something Unto Nothing (Robo Records)
06.) Pamela Moore - Resurrect Me (Rat Pak Records)
07.) Deep Purple - Now What?! (Eagle Rock Entertainment)
08.) Helloween - Straight Out Of Hell (Sony)
09.) Queensryche - Frequency Unknown (Cleopatra Records)
    10.) Benedictum - Obey (Frontiers)

If you include the NON-Metal releases, the list would look like this:

    1. Oliva - Raise The Curtain
    2. Metal Church - Generation Nothing
    3. Black Sabbath - 13
    4. Beth Hart - Bang Bang Boom Boom
    5. Fates Warning - Darkness in a Different Light
    6. S.U.N. - Something Unto Nothing
    7. Pamela Moore - Resurrect Me
    8. Beth Hart / Joe Bonamassa - Seesaw
    9. Deep Purple - Now What?!
    10. Helloween - Straight Out of Hell

From the second list, the rest of what I listened to would break down like this:

    11. Queensryche (the Tate version) - Frequency Unknown
    12. Benedictum - Obey
    13. U.D.O. - Steelhammer
    14. Motorhead - Aftershock
    15. Chastain - Surrender To No One
    16. Ashes of Ares - S/T
    17. Queensryche (the other guys version) - S/T
    18. Kim Richey - Thorn in My Heart
    19. James Christian - Lay It All on Me

Reissues and Live CDs break down like this:

    1. Honeymoon Suite - The Big Prize
    2. Dio - Magica
    3. Tangier - Four Winds
    4. Iron Maiden - Maiden England '88
    5. Dio - Finding The Sacred Heart - Live In Philly 1986

I've got to say, I'm surprised by that Queensryche settlement. I would have bet on joint ownership.

Looking forward to the new Ace Frehley disc. His last solo effort was very good.

Awesome. It will be good to have a place to discuss music.

Both sides have irrevocably damaged the brand, they should all be ashamed of themselves.

I don't know about that. I think the band indulged Geoff Tate for a long time before finally saying enough was enough.

And then released an album that sounded like a Queensryche tribute band...and not a good one.

I'm in the minority opinion but the Geoff Tate QR CD was a bit better than the 3/4 QR CD.

By the way, for all Music Forum refugees, if you want to also develop this into a music discussion thread as well that would be fine by me.

That CD review link I posted last night was posted on Facebook as well and someone related to the band's singer (probably his wife) hit the like button on it. Yaay me. LOL.
