CD Review - Whitesnake - Flesh & Blood

That's been pretty much my impression of this album. That it's been a very welcome return to form after that Deep Purple covers album that didn't interest me in the slightest. Hoekstra and Beach are on fire here.

I hadn't noticed any muted vocals on Gonna Be Alright. Coverdale's voice is well documented as being a pale shadow of what it once was. Age does come into that sure but he hasn't really looked after it well down the years also.

Cracking album overall though and highly recommended.

My idea of muted vocals is when the vocals are less than out in front. When the music seems to be swallowing up the vocals to the point where it seems they are covering for a lessened ability of the singer for whatever reason.
