The rule of "It Happens In Threes" is getting a disturbing workout this week. First it was Metal Church singer Mike How, then ex-Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison. And now, I sadly report that ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill passed away today.

The Whitesnake (or more accurately David Coverdale & Whitesnake) album Restless Heart (which was never released in the US when it came out in 1997) is getting a 25th Anniversary reissue on October 29th via Rhino. There will be four versions of the release and you can read all the details HERE!

Metal Blade Records has signed the new band A-Z (pronounced "A to Z"). The band features the reunion of Fates Warning singer Ray Alder with the band's former drummer Mark Zonder. You can read the news about the signing HERE!

Some really sad news for me on a personal level this morning. I woke up to the news that Metal Church singer Mike Howe has passed away at the age of 55. Article Link.

This is a video clip of Metal Church in 2019 at a show in New Bedford, MA that I was at. I got to briefly meet Mike Howe after the band's set and have my Damned If You Do CD signed by him and the rest of the band.

The news about Mike Howe's passing becomes even more of a tragic occurence because his death has officially been ruled a a suicide.

Metal Church released an original statement earlier today that caused some controversy. That prompted them to pull that statement and put up a revised one.

Sigh, I just don't have any more words. Losing him in the first place was bad enough, but to learn it was a suicide makes it hurt all the more.
