Dave Meniketti, the guitarist/singer for Y&T, has announced he's been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The real big money the last 20+ years is touring. Guns N Roses as a reunion the last 4-5 years have racked up half a billion dollars touring.

Well, concert ticket prices for the BIG bands usually start at about $100+ so God bless em.

Comically in this span Guns n Roses re-issued their 1st album in a deluxe box set with tons of extras etc. It was limited to 1,000+ copies and priced pretty wild. It sold out quick ! Then they plan this year to issue a new 4 song EP with Hard Skool and Absurd as new songs.

Duff McKagen said years ago if the band ever reunited they would do tons of money as promoters had offered some big $$$ for it. So they pretty much cashed in finally on it.

Man, that sounds like a sweet, box set. For a true fan that is a big time Holy Grail for sure.

Good for them on cashing in on big tours. Time to get that serious paycheck.

Slash has said Guns n Roses will have a couple new songs set for summer before the band heads on tour again. This seems to be the deal where the band is doing the Sammy Hagar deal where he details he releases songs as singles over time and then puts together an album after so long. The band seems to be following that approach for now.
