People online are saying this Kiko Loureiro is the real deal. But, man, is Dave looking...used.

I got his FULL BLAST record & he is a huge upgrade for MD. Nice score for Dave if his ego is capable of turning Kiko loose on a MD record. I'm very much looking forward to a new MD record. Haven't said that in over 10+ years.

Yeah, I'm actually pretty stoked for the new Megadeth record. I don't want to get too excited and face disappointment, but man, Lamb of God's Chris Adler on drums and a killer new guitarist, talking about making the best thrash record possible in interviews... I know by now now to get my hopes up when any of the old timers pay lip service to the old sound, but it's hard not to get excited. I've enjoyed a lot of late career Megadeth, though, so it doesn't feel totally unwarranted. The last two records, not so much, but Dave had a three-in-a-row good streak with The System Has Failed, United Abominations and Endgame there.

I think Adler and Loureiro will be a better fit than Drover and Broderick because as good as those guys were technically, they felt too much of soulless technicality to me. Too dry. Megadeth has never been just about excellent technical playing, but what they are playing, too.

Not gonna lie, though, when the rumor mill suggested it might be Nick and Marty, I was rooting for that though definitely not holding my breath. That would be about as likely as Van Halen reu...wait...

Not sure if it was mentioned but Duran Duran signed with Warner Bros and have a new album coming out in September. Maybe I'll see them live for the 24th time.

I did. Just, wow. I mean, I've read his autobiography, so the things he says make sense, but I have a feeling this is going to be terrible, or at least not my cup of tea.
