It used to be, back in the days when groups like Ratt were capable of selling albums in their millions. Since the millennium there has been a greater swing towards live performances being the biggest bread-winner. Music just doesn't sell in the same quantities anymore, especially rock music sadly. This has also given rise to one of my biggest bugbears in the current musical climate, ridiculous numbers of live albums to cash in further.
I think that Juan Croucier was also heavily involved with the writing process in Ratt. The only band member not involved in that regard is Blotzer. Whoever his current vocalist is there's no doubt he can do better justice to the material than Stephen Pearcy is capable of these days. Overall though this is rather an ignominious end to one the great glam rock groups of the 80's (and a band I've always preferred to Motley Crue actually, Ratt were better musicians).
