What do you make of Banner joining the Illuminati?

Depends which Banner joined! Was it ever explained which one started the fight/got the lobotomizer fitted and which one was recruited into the Illuminati?

I don't think it was that clear. At least from what I read. I'll have to read it again later.

Either way, I think it'll haunt them.

I think either Hulk is going to have a problem with the Illuminati. One was shot into space and the other was lobotomized (although not by the Illuminati).

From the dialogue with Tony in the epilogue, saying that it was the sociopathic one who was labotomised, this is how I see it. 616 Banner had the talk with Tony and started the fight. Tony offered the Alt-Banner to SHIELD at the end.

That's just what I was thinking. It would be the easiest way to get rid of alternate Bruce while keeping 616 Bruce on side. In the middle of Avengers #27, 616 Banner was talking to alternate Banner and alternate Banner started to Hulk-out - then it just cut from the scene and never went back in that issue. My guess is that alternate Banner Hulked-out and blew the hole in the Avengers building (then got lobotomized), but 616 Banner calmed down and joined Tony - even though you were made to think it was him that Hulked-out.

I loved Namor and T'Challa in this issue, I don't know how long it will last but sure it was nice seeing them like this.

I think is this, but if Hickman pulls an ''It was alt Banner all along'' it wouldn't feel out of nowhere either.

This Great Society arc I think has a lot of good potential. Especially with a Banner in the mix.

I dropped the title then thought about picking it up again when it looked like Dr Strange was going to be the focus. While the Great Society is kinda interesting, I'd rather see more about the the guys and their moral struggles. I is kinda fun guessing the analogues though.
