So you're saying it's going to be irrelevant once the follow up event starts ?

Well it seems to be spinning out of Futures End and World's end finally so it must have some implication on the upcoming event.

Is that a Flashpoint world I see? Emperor Aquaman!!!!

the main plot line handled by veteran television writer Jeff King ("White Collar," "Continuum"), making his comic book debut. Dan Jurgens will co-write the zero issue with him, while Scott Lobdell will help to lay out the overall outline.
Favorites: Batman, Superman, All-New Wolverine, Deathstroke, Detective Comics, Green Lanterns, Doom Patrol

Yup. Off the top of my head, I recognize the pre-52 Earth-2, Flashpoint Earth, and the Tangent Earth to name some of them.

my initial reaction - this is great news, i'll skip and save some money.

might even be the perfect jump off point for me all together. we'll see. depends what books continue after and which new books will launch out of this.

guess i'm just not a fan of multiverses and alternate realities and whatnot.

Well, at least its a new name for the thing, and not an iteration of Crisis (lookin at you Infinity-Secret-War-Marvel).

Ive just drifted back to the DCU books after the post nu52 chaos where the stupid five year rule shredded their fresh new continuity, writers were being fired randomly etc and I lost confidence in whether a title would last.
But the new Batbook direction has piqued my interest, and I just decided to buy back in. (plus one never knows if the Marvel books we buy will last... as they omit the fact that they basically only publish limited 12-15 issue volumes now)

So the question becomes, will any of the new books, heck even the work Snyder has done renweing the Bat origin, survive the Convergence? Should I not bother spending on the DC books till next June when it all settles out?
