    I may have to revisit it at some point. It was the first Mike Carey series after Lucifer that I was excited about, and I think my expectations may have been too high. I'd probably like it more now with some critical distance. It's also probably unfair to compare Fern's art to Peter Gross' as well. (I liked Fern's stuff well enough in his L.E.G.I.O.N. days filling in for Kitson, but I found it kinda "wooden" for Crossing Midnight.)

    I like the early issues of the Authority, but that's more the Wildstorm corner of DC, and less Vertigo.
